How Grain Points Work

Help shape Grain. Get rewarded.

Grain Points are our way of thanking our earliest beta users for helping us build a better platform.

When you share thoughtful feedback, report a problem, or suggest an improvement, you’ll earn points that can later be redeemed for discounts on your Grain membership.

The basics

  • Give feedback: Earn 50 Grain Points for each qualifying piece of feedback.

  • Earn a boost: Grain admins may award additional points when feedback is especially thoughtful, detailed, or helpful.

  • Save or redeem: Once Grain introduces paid memberships, your points can be redeemed for a discount—or saved until you have enough for a free month.

  • Get a free month: 500 Grain Points covers 100% of one month of your Grain membership.

What counts as feedback?

Qualifying feedback should help us understand your experience or improve Grain. This might include:

  • Reporting a bug or technical problem

  • Telling us when something is confusing or difficult to use

  • Suggesting a new feature or improvement

  • Sharing an honest reaction to part of the platform

  • Identifying something that feels incomplete or does not work as expected

The most helpful feedback usually explains what happened, what you expected to happen, and why it mattered to your experience. Screenshots, screen recordings, and clear steps for recreating a problem are always appreciated.

Repeated submissions, spam, intentionally vague responses, or multiple reports of the same issue may not qualify as separate pieces of feedback.

How boosts work

Sometimes a piece of feedback goes above and beyond. Grain admins can “boost” these submissions by awarding additional points.

Feedback may receive a boost when it is especially:

  • Specific and detailed

  • Actionable

  • Difficult or important to uncover

  • Supported by screenshots or clear examples

  • Helpful in improving a major part of the platform

Boost amounts are determined by Grain’s admins based on the usefulness and quality of the submission. Not every submission will receive a boost.

Redeeming your points

Point redemption will become available when Grain begins offering paid memberships.

Every 500 points can be redeemed for one free month. Smaller balances can be redeemed for a proportional discount on one month. You may also choose to save your points for a future billing period.

Discounts are capped at 100% of the membership price for any single billing period. If you redeem more than 500 points, the remaining points will be applied to or saved for a future month.

After a free or discounted month ends, your membership will renew at its regular price unless you cancel it according to Grain’s standard subscription terms.

Program terms

  • Grain Points are available only to users who have been invited or otherwise given access to the Grain Points program.

  • A qualifying piece of feedback earns 50 points. Grain determines whether a submission qualifies and whether multiple submissions relate to the same issue.

  • Additional boost points are awarded at Grain’s discretion. Boosts are not guaranteed and may vary between submissions.

  • Grain may correct point balances resulting from technical errors, duplicate awards, fraudulent activity, or misuse of the program.

  • Points may only be redeemed after Grain launches eligible paid memberships.

  • The value of a reward is based on the membership’s price at the time the points are redeemed.

  • Points apply to the membership price only and do not cover taxes, fees, add-ons, or other purchases.

  • Grain Points cannot be purchased, transferred between accounts, exchanged for cash, or refunded after redemption.

  • Points do not expire while your Grain account remains active and in good standing.

  • Unused points may be forfeited if an account is deleted, suspended for violating Grain’s terms, or used to abuse the feedback program.

  • By submitting feedback, you give Grain permission to use your comments, suggestions, and ideas to evaluate and improve the platform without additional compensation beyond any Grain Points awarded.

  • Grain may modify or discontinue the Grain Points program in the future. If this happens, we will provide reasonable notice and make reasonable efforts to honor legitimately earned points.

  • Participation in the Grain Points program is also subject to Grain’s general Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
